Welcome to Anistar (pronounced on-a-star) Shetland Sheepdogs. My name is Lindsay Spitznogle, and along with my mother, Maureen, we own Anistar Shelties. We are located in Western Pennsylvania, about forty-five minutes east of Pittsburgh. We have been actively showing our dogs since 1999, but have loved and owned shelties since 1987. I handle all of my own dogs and also take on client dogs. I am very passionate about handling, and am very committed to the care and presentation of the dogs I show. We have recently just finished our first home bred Champion, and I have handled one of my bitches to a specialty Best in Show win and she has been ranked in the top twenty shelties in the nation. Our breeding philosophy is simple - to produce healthy, conformationally correct animals that are balanced in mind and body. Above everything else, these dogs our a part of our family, and they must have temperaments that we can live with and enjoy.

September 9, 2007 :: We have just finished our first home-bred champion, CH Anistar Ever Seen the Rain, Noah. June 24, 2007 :: We are simply on Cloud 9. Our mother and son duo, Annie and Noah, were both WD and WB under judge Judith Goodin today for 2 points each. Now Noah needs a single to finish and Annie needs a major. It was a spectacular weekend! June 23, 2007 :: What a weekend! Annie went WB/BOW today for 2 points under judge Don Gill. This brings her up to 10 points, one major! June 22, 2007 :: Dora was WB/BOW/BOS for her first two points under judge Beverly Capstick! June 21, 2007 :: Under judge Dorothy Hutchinson, Noah was WD for another point. Three singles to go! May 30, 2007 :: New photos of CH Nina, Noah, and CH Christopher added. Take a peek! May 26, 2007 :: Noah was WD/BOW for a 5 point major under judge Judy Adams at the Butler County KC in New Castle, PA. This brings Noah up to 11 points, both majors. May, 2007 :: CH Christopher is home after completing his Canadian CH, and is enjoying the life of a couch potato once again... April 21, 2007 :: We have a new Canadian Champion! CH Christopher completed his title this weekend, with handler Bev Klassen. April 15, 2007 :: CH Christopher picks up 4 more Canadian points this weekend! April 1 , 2007 :: Annie goes WB/BOS for another point. March 31, 2007 :: Noah goes WD for 2 points under judge R. William Taylor! March 26, 2007 :: CH Christopher now has 3 Canadian points!
